Before arriving in Australia to start International Garden Concepts as my own landscape business, I travelled extensively to study the variety of landscape design across the world.

International Garden Concepts uses this insight and experience to bring international styles of landscape design to Australia, adapting them to the unique combination of climates and lifestyles found Downunder.

ENVIROMENTAL RECLAIMATION

This reclamation entailed a 1,3 km long stretch of beach.

It included:

An on site plant nursery to establish and acclimatise native vegetation.

Hydro and manual seeding a section of reconstructed dune

Natural and artificial wind brakes.

Wooden cross dune paths to reduce traffic erosion to the newly planted dunes.

Planting the area with salt hardy shrubs

SPORTS FIELDS

Plane tree at the Newlands cricket grounds plus soft landscaping at surrounding grandstand. This entailed uplifting the trees, the largest one being 15 tonnes. Storing the trees on the side of the field until the grandstand was partially built then replacing them in the newly constructed grand stand.
